SNIEC—Shanghai New International Expo Centre

The most successful trade fair venue in China

With more than 90 events a year, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) is the most successful exhibition center in the People's Republic of China. It occupies a top position worldwide in terms of capacity utilization. Messe München owns the exhibition center through GEC GmbH together with Deutsche Messe Hannover AG and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH as well as the Chinese company Shanghai Lujizui Exhibition Development Co. Ltd. Messe München currently organizes 11 events there.

The SNIEC has 17 halls with a total area of 200,000 m² and 100,000 m² of outdoor space. Construction began in 1999 in several stages. The first 4 halls were opened on November 2, 2001. The final construction phase was completed at the end of 2011.
